This Romanesque carving spans the front steps of the church over the entranceway. It depicts Christ on a throne presiding over Archangel Michael and a demon as they direct souls onto Heaven and Hell. More detail is given on the right side where souls are fed to Leviathan and excreted into Hell. The monks of the Abbey included in their depiction of Hell a bishop that presided over them as well as poachers of Abbey game being roasted by a rabbit. The details of the carving are quite impressive.
