Be sure to go and leave a comment at NCO Financial Systems at CallFerret Phone Number Lookup so that all of the new NCO phone numbers are available to people as soon as possible.

In case you are getting calls from the wonderful people at NCO Financial Systems. You should read some messages people have posted about this company. Apart from having to pay $1.5 million to settle Federal Trade Commission charges that it violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), there are also many many claims of state and federal violations of legislation like the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

The company purchases old debt from people like your cellphone provider, hospitals and the government for pennies on the dollar and then tries to collect it. You may have even already paid the bill, like I had, but that is really a minor irrelevant point. The reality is, much if not most of this debt is so old noone has any obligation to repay any of it, least of all not to NCO. Many people have been harassed for debt belonging to neighbors, relatives, old residents of the same address, and co-workers. Don’t pay NCO a penny.

If you receive letters or phone calls from NCO or phone numbers like
800-709-8625 or 888-804-3488 or 877-803-8009 or 800-541-2742 or 888-688-7929 or 800-445-4918 or 866-569-8956 or 800-218-1175 or 800-448-9576 or 800-684-8429 or 866-429-3592 or 800-976-8307 or 877-871-6484 or 800-735-6588 or 800-220-1942 or 877-778-1799 or 800-227-4000 or 800-807-7809 or 866-626-9112 or 866-425-8131 or 800-967-4100 or 877-252-4534 or 877-202-9074 or 888-691-8955 or 888-259-3021 or 800-437-7403 or
800-383-4761 or 866-360-9791 you should read this page about the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. If NCO does anything wrong with you, you could be entitled to $1000 per infraction and they may have to pay your lawyer and possibly even your debt.

To halt their “contact”, send NCO a certified, return-receipt cease and desist letter (they throw away all faxes and non-certified letters). A sample letter might read (though, you must seek real legal advice, which I’m not):

This is to advise you that pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (“FDCPA”) 15 USC 1692c(c), you are hereby notified to immediately terminate any contact with me, or any members of my family or household, regarding any matter concerning the collection of a debt you allege is owed to your company or to your principal/customer/client. This notice shall include, but is not limited to written correspondence, as well as telephonic communication. This letter also verifies that I live at the address above, therefore, any further locator attempts would be a violation of the FDCPA.

Their address is:
NCO Financial Systems, Inc.
507 Prudential Rd
Horsham, PA 19044-2308

Is NCO calling you? Do you have a new NCO phone number or information? Please leave a comment and share it with the rest of us. Thanks!

NCO may or may not report your debt dispute with them on your credit report. It is important to make sure that if NCO puts anything on your credit report, all of the information is accurate, such as date of debt, last activity on account and the correct amount. That information is not always placed on all three major reports and your valid creditors usually only check one of these sources, so make sure you check all three (TransUnion, Equifax and Experian) for correct information. You should also check your credit score at these agencies to see the impact of your debt history on your credit-worthiness. Click to obtain a copy of your 3-in-1 Credit Report.

If NCO does not leave you alone, Lexington Law is an affordable legal tool to get them to stop calling and writing you. They are also very effective at deleting the negative information off of your credit reports.

Oh, and Miss Hill, thanks for calling ;)

Important! File a complaint with the Pennsylvania Attorney General – easy online form (NCO is a PA company and PA is investigating NCO)

P.S. The Pennsylvania Attorney General recently finished a big case against them, though the complaints continue.

800 221 8887…I just called this number and spoke to someone to have them take my home number (which has been mine for 5 years) and replace it with the person who had my phone number previously and apparently a lot of debt, too. It has been frustrating because I have gone through this before and they claim I will not get any more calls as of today. We’ll see about that. They have called relentlessly since 12/24 4-5 times a day from 800-295-6724..today I answered and after 10 minutes of recordings, I was told that all representatives were busy and I had to call them back. What a nerve. The other day I pretended to be the person with the debt AND you would not believe ALL the information the rep gave to me about the person who had the debt even after I gave them a FAKE ssn. Gotta love it!

NCO (1-800-224-5915 Kimberly York) called me and stupid me called them back. In the past the debt is always for someone else and they take me off their calling list. They are trying to collect on a debt from 1996. A Pacific Bell bill that I made payments on for 2 years? This could be a legal debt but I don’t remember it. I think I would remember paying on something for 2 years. When trying to confirm that it was my debt she could give me very little info. Only an old PO Box that I had 10 years ago. Rambled off a job that I had from 2002-2008. She brought up that I had tried to file bankrupsy earlier this year. That was not me! My married name is Rose, very common. My credit is clean. I have had loans, credits cards all paid on time.I keep an close eye on my credit reports and have over the last 10 years. There has never been a collection from a phone company. I have been at the same address and phone number for 9 years. Why do they have to wait so long? We went round and round. I told her I would contact my lawyer, one of the best in the state. She said ” you don’t think NCO has the best Lawyers?” She tried to tell me they would settle for only partly what I owed them. I would not let her even tell me how much. After arguing for about an hour she finally gave me their address and a phone number to call for fraud. I then called Pacific Bell which is now AT&T. They could not find any old debt for me. I have been in good standing with them since I first turned on my phone on here 9 years ago. They told me they no longer have my info and I need to contact NCO. They(NCO) legally have to give me my info on the account.
I delt with these guys in 2003 on a medical bill. I made payments and had the debt paid off within 6 months. About 6 months after, I got my credit report and it said I still owed NCO. I contacted them and they said they would correct it. 1 year later I ordered another credit report and it was still on there! I had to call them again this time promising to take legal action. Next credit report I got, it was gone. Not exactly sure what to do. Being that today is the day after Christmas I am going to relax for the weekend and contact my lawyer next week. I think I will get all three credit reports and flag my credit though.

I called NCO to pay off what was on my current credit report. Mr. Walker told me you must pay off all your debts or we will except nothing. This was after calling 10 different numbers and being told that this acct# is with this office and that sacct # is with this office at this number and so on and so on until I got to Mr. Walker who said you will pay all of the money you owe or will not speak to us again. What a major loser and what a rotten way to run a business. I hope they get what they deserve. Nothing~!!!!!! BUt Aggravation and torment they gave me. Good luck to all the rest of their victims!

My fiance’s parents have been receiving calls from NCO for him for a few months. I called the number they left back to see what company it was and was informed that it was against the law to tell me that information. Hmm..right..anyway.. I had my brother look up the phone number and found the name of the company was non-other than NCO Financial. So I found this website and THANK YOU! I plan on having my fiance call just to make sure it’s the same company but plan on sending the letter and putting a stop to all this nonsense.
Oh..the number they called from was 1-800-322-2608

My husband has been receiving calls on his work cell phone from them. Have no idea how they got it. I called them and of course they claim they don’t have us in their database. I will be mailing a certified letter to them tomorrow and I have made a complaint to the BBB on them. All I can figure is that they got his number off the internet since he works for the state and his cell number and name are listed on the web. The number that came up on caller id was 800-448-9570.

Whoever these people are, are a bunch of morons. Most times, they don’t even leave a message, but twice now, they’ve left a message saying, “This is a phone call for Steven…blahblah blahb blah…” And the voicemail we have on our phone states mine and my husband’s names!!! AND NO ONE IS NAMED STEVEN!!!! One time I answered the call while the moron was leaving the message, and she kept hounding me, “Do you know Steven? Are you sure you don’t know him?” Are you kidding me lady??? Am I sure? YES I’M SURE!!! NOW STOP CALLING WHEN MY KID IS NAPPING!!! If they call and wake up my sleeping baby who already has troubles napping again, they’re going to have some real issues on their hands!! LOL seriously…..it’s so irritating to deal with scammers like this!!! I had a phone call a while back, some bunghole looking for my mother….and she hasn’t lived with me in almost 10 years, and she’s had her same phone number now for 8 years….why don’t they call her there? Instead they called me, I live in VA, she’s in MN…..figure that one out. I told them to go fly, and I reported them to the FTC and FBI. Good riddance…..losers. Don’t fall for the scams people!!! Get your facts straight before you offer all of your information to these people and they take full advantage of it!!! Even if you know you owe a debt, find out the details first! It’s better to be safe than sorry!!!!!!!

I just got a letter from these people saying I owe money. Not only is there no information on who the debt is owed to, I can’t think of anything I might owe money to, especially not for the amount listed. Not only that, but I’m 22 years old, and my brother received a letter from them at the same time I did. It seems an awful lot like these people buy personal information and try to scam naive people out of their money. Before bothering to call them (Their website was blocked for having a bad security certificate), I decided to check online. From all the stories I’ve read, it’s clear this is not the real deal, and I should be able to have my father, an accountant and an intelligent person, help me sort this out. By the way, the “toll-free phone number” listed on the envelope is 1-866-202-8648.

Geez-oh-Pete….

Wish I’d read these earlier, but I had no idea who or what NCO Financial is. These a-holes are calling me about a debt that isn’t even mine. Someone in an adjacent state (Ohio), I live in Michigan opened an account at Cincinnati Bell in my name. They guy said that there was some old debt that they would be willing to negotiate a settlement on. I told him that I was not willing to negotiate any debt that I had not incurred and just requested an address to write a dispute letter for. I don’t know if it will do any good, but thanks for all the information on what jackals these guys are. Anyhow, I don’t have a phone number to list here because they called as Unknown Name Unknown Number. I just happened to be home with stomach flu or I wouldn’t even know they called. The address they gave me is:
NCO Financial Systems
P.O. Box 4907
Trenton, N.J. 08650

I’d really like to slap the guy who called me. He was kind of a dunce…and I say this because when he told me the bill was from Cincinnati Bell I answered back that I didn’t have a phone in Ohio as I’d been living in Detroit for the past 17 years. His response you ask? Well how did you know it was a phone bill then. What country is this guy from? Here in the states, ALL the phone companies used to be known as Bells….Detroit Bell, Cincinnati Bell, etc., etc., etc. So I’m not too shocked that there might be problems at a company that hires such a scholarly crew….puh-leeze….

I just found this site because I was looking for a number to call NCO because I lost my account number and I need to send them checks to pay off a 14-month old hospital debt. I already sent them three, on a monthly basis, so they have my account number, and after reading these comments I am worried. I know I have a debt with the hospital they spoke of, but will it really go away if I pay these people? The hospital said that I have to pay NCO. If I stop sending checks, will they still penalize me somehow? Will my credit score be destroyed? I am a second year college student and am on my own with this debt, and I don’t even own a credit card, just a checking card. I am a bit worried, could anyone with financial advice e-mail me at darkserefayde@yahoo.com. I don’t want to make a huge mistake…

I started getting calls four months ago. 1-800-597-4549. I pay all my bills, so I ignored them for awhile. I finally called and was told they were collecting a debt from an emergency room visit this summer. It is true I did go to the ER and I verified that I owe this money. Problem is that I never got this bill! I paid every other bill for that ER visit and now this stupid bill for less than $30 is causing all sorts of trouble.

After MANY requests, NCO finally sent me a letter with proof I owe. The problem was that they didn’t have my address correct. Kind of hard to pay a bill that you don’t receive!! Now I have to deal with this harrassment when it wasn’t even my fault to begin with. Last week I sent a money order (never send a personal check) via certified mail. They keep calling, so I assume they haven’t gotten it yet. Here is the address and number:

I didn’t do any research and they got all of my information my acct number and everthing, and I have been paying them for the past five months. SO I’M PISSED, Can anyone tell me any helpful information.

NCO has been hounding me for over four months. I am up to three calls a day, five days a week. And here’s the punch line: I don’t even HAVE any past-due debts; they are attempting to collect a debt from MY SISTER, who used my address as a mailing address (probably illegally). I have told their representatives on many occassions that my sister no longer lives at my address, that I have not spoken to her in over three years, and that I have no information regarding her current whereabouts (all of which is true, in case anyone was wondering), they just don’t listen.

Received a notice from NCO end of September at my parents address. Immediately called and asked what the collection was for and they stated it was property taxes on a vehicle I purchased in October 1993. I moved out of state in April 1994 and had never received a bill for property taxes and my title was transfered after I moved.

Tried to obtain info from City of Virginia Beach but they said since it was turned over to NCO I had to go through them.

I disputed the charges and sent them a letter requesting proof. NCO continues to call even though I told them I sent a letter and they are quite rude. Still haven’t received any proof.

If I owe someone money I’ll pay it but never having received a bill and it’s been 15 years and the vehicles long gone this is more than a little crazy.

To those bloggers such as “Ann” who believe we’re all “dead-beats”: My problems began when I purchased a new cell phone and was issued my number upon activation. Apparently, my “new” number was previously issued to a person with financial problems. Question to “Ann” and those others of like sentiment: Am I just supposed to take this and shut my mouth? I don’t wish to go on further, but NCO IS OUT OF CONTROL based on some of the calls they have made to our household telephone: several involved my elderly Mother and got her ALL UPSET. She’s legally blind and suffers from diabetes and hypertension. NCO refuses to “cease and desist” even when I explained their error. It would be interesting to know how NCO obtained my Mother’s land-line number (UNLISTED) after they called me on the new cell phone. I made the mistake of giving them my name on initial contact. As has been said on this blog, the first mistake is to give them ANY information I think the many suggestions for a class-action lawsuit are excellent and need to be acted on. Any hungry lawyers reading this?

I am sooo glad that I checked this company out…

We had a medical account that we were making payments on. I made a payment to the hospital via phone on 08/08/08, then paid the remaining balance off in full a couple of weeks later. Or so I thought. I received a letter from NCO a few days ago stating that I owe a balance on the account. After some investigative work on my end, it turns out the person who took my call at the hospital billing department on the 8th never processed my payment. I *do* owe the money. I contacted the hospital to see if I can pay them directly and find out why the payment hadn’t been processed – they have no clue, but no, I can’t make the payment with them. I then tried to make the payment on the web with the website addy NCO gives me in their letter – http://www.ncofinancial.com. There’s a “unique registration code” that I’m supposed to be able to log-in with and make payment. It doesn’t work. At all. I attempt to call them at the number they give me in their letter, 866-825-1748. I get thrown into perma-hold voice mail hell, and get sick of waiting. I attempt to access the website again today, and call – same result. I then do a web search and find all of these postings. Lovely. These people are going to be wonderful to deal with. I want to make a payment and have confirmation in my hand as proof of payment in case they try to say at some future date that the debt was not paid. I call the hospital again, tell them the story (again), and then tell them that this company is very shadey to deal with. They give me a different number to reach NCO, 800-967-2070. I *67 my number so they won’t know who I am to get some information unobtrusively (all I wanted was a website addy that I can actually make a payment on). That # puts me through to India. The woman there can’t tell me what website to make my payment on, but she transfers me. The guy who answers the phone has my husband’s name, our address, and account info. WTF? I BLOCKED my number. He says their website is down (really?), but I can pay it over the phone. I tell him that I want payment confirmation in my hand, not a verbal confirmation number he’s going to give me over the phone, and ask when the web site, that is clearly touted as a means of payment on my letter, will be back up. He has no idea but he’ll take my payment over the phone right now. Does anyone else see any red flags here? The whole thing is bugging me. Now, I have no qualms paying this bill (hell, I thought it was paid three months ago), but I do want to make sure that I cross my t’s and dot my i’s with this company. *shaking head* I guess I’ll have to send a check via certified mail just to make sure I have proof of payment. What a pain the @ss…

If everyone keeps track of when these pricks call, and if you try and call them back and you never talk to someone, we should all keep records and then file a class action lawsuit and bury them for good.

NCO employees are idiots! If the lady I spoke with after waiting on hold for 20 minutes had been anything approaching civil I would have paid the $30.00 debt even though I have lost everything in hurricane Ike but Ms. Drummond was rude and a complete jerk so hell will freeze over before I will pay them.

Can I file a complaint against NCO Fin Systems Inc in a consumer court ? Their website, as mentioned in their letter, is always out of order (www.ncofinancial.com).

Called back NCO after several messages on my answering machine. They say that I owe them $2140.37 for a surgery my wife had in 2006. As far as I know, I had a very good insurance and I paid off whatever I owed to the hospital. Do you think I should call the insurance company or the hospital to find out if this is true? Reading all these posts, I think I need not worry. Anyways, the new number is 1-866-853-4964.

Had the following message on my answering machine: “Hello, this is an important message from NCO Financial Systems Inc. Law requires that we notify you that this a debt collection company. This is an attempt to collect debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose. Please call Mr. Parker back today at 1-866-473-9021. Once again, the number is 1-866-473-9021. Thank you. xxxxxx is your reference id.”

I called the number and after a long wait, spoke to an person who told me the name on the file that they were calling about. The person named is not me, not known to me and has never lived at my telephone location (I’ve had the same number for 12 years). I told her that and she said she would remove my number from their file.

Well, she was looking for a family member of my husbands, and I told her that person does not live here. Well, I was then TOLD that to inform them they are looking to hear from that person and they should call asap. And then I asked what this was about so I could include it in the message, she got real shitty and stated that it is none of my business and it was a personel matter and just give this person the message. I told them NO. and DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER AGAIN AND IF YOU DO I WILL BE CONTACTIN MY ATTORNEY. So we shall see what happens now…

The number she gave me to call was 1-800-221-6850 ext 3829 Betty
I called the number and the call went to right to a voicemail box that was full, but it stated it was NCO finacial systems, inc. I had no idea what that was especailly since I have no outstanding debt. I appreciate everyone’s information on this site. Now I know what I am dealing with.

Let’s make NCO the next bussiness to Sucumb to the present economy. They are PIGS.

They are only in existance to prey on people who have experienced tough times in their past like us. The “DEBT” they are making attempts to collect have exceeded the Statue of Limitations and are not collectable.

…When they call, let the answering machine get it. Smile, knowing they will never collect
only if you enter communication with them…

Here’s a new number for them:

866-637-0270

I called NCO back after the first gal hung up on my husband when he would not verify any information for them without their volunteering any first; supposedly re: a medical bill (could be legit). I called back on their number and instructed them to “send another letter” and never call again. The second gal identified herself as “Melissa” when she answered, and was a nicer person than the first; she verified our phone number and the number portion of our address with me, wrote our number down and said we would not be called again. I informed her that our husband is currently going through all our medical bills with a fine-toothed comb and I stated twice that they are breaking the law calling us and it had better stop. We’ll see. My husband had already stated to me he will contact our (CA) State Atty General if they call us again. We’re married 41 years and it has been the law ALL that time in CA not to use the telephone to dun people.

We bought a house and paid everything off in full when we bought the house….now 5-6 years later they are calling me saying I owe them $1300.00 on an original debt of $410.00 that they purchased from Capital One. First… my phone number has been the same for 6 yrs… and NOW you are calling me saying I owe you $1100 in interest over 5 yrs…UMMM NO! I had been paing it in an effort to clean up my credit from my ex… but when I called them to change the amount of my next monthly payment the man I spoke too screamed at me…told me I was irresponsible and that I needed to borrow money from someone to pay them this week. He called me a looser and a deadbeat. I am a single mother who has been puting myself in financial hardship to pay off this debt that I am now wondering is really even true….after reading these comments I guess I am not alone and shouldnt have paid them a penny without researching first. What animals…how can somone go to work every day knowing this is what they do for a living. Their families must be so proud.

I have even left messages on my machine indicating that no person of that name is known or lives here and they continue to call. Sometimes before 8:30 Am and after 9PM. One number is pre recorded with an english/british sounding womans voice that call comes from 888-899-4780. I will not return their calls, because number one it is not my debt, and number two I know from past experiences and thru other reviews that they will not listen anyway. NCO Financial and affiliates, are the bottom feeders in societies present economy.
They make attempts to collect debt that has surpassed the statue of limitations by intimidation, excessive calls and harassment.

The only reason people write on this page about them is because they have made the mistake of communicating with these swines by answering their phone calls or by communicating by mail.

Stand up to these PIGS by calling them back and hanging up. They will PAY for the call.
Do it as many times as they have called you.

Remove any IDENTIFIABLE Information off the bill the send, and mail it back to them with “Play Money” from the dollar store with a note that you are willing to settle.

NCO FINANCIAL = SCUM
That is why they are at the bottom of society fishing…. Fishing for something that the original debtor could not collect.

Stand up to these Idiots!!

Have a nice day Mr. Kevin Fields,

I did a credit fraud hold and had TransUnion investigate and confirm everything on my account.
Everything NCO was reporting fell off my report, as expected, and yet they continue to call.
I explained to them that this was the result of identify theft and the credit agencies seemed to agree and yet they continue to call because they have A number…

NCO Financial – India is collecting past due payments for Capital One using the phone number 800-955-6600. They openly violate federal debt collection law. On several occasions, they have called me as early as 5 a.m., even after I informed them that this practice was illegal. Most recently they called me at 5:30 am over a late payment of $191.00. Fed up, I finally filed complaints with the PA Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission. I urge all others who have been harassed by NCO to do the same. It is time for our government to enforce the laws they draft for our protection. NCO violates the law because they believe they can. Enough is enough!

I called them the 1st time, and the phone just rung, like 10 or 11 times. NO answer. How legitimate, right? I called again, and it came online. They immediately asked for my whole social security number. They should already have my information if they have credit against me, right? Wouldn’t asking for the claim number be an appropiate 1st question? I got my 3 free credit scores, and there is nothing on there about NCO Financial Systems, Inc. or delinquent accounts. This is kind of scary, as the prevalence of identity theft is rampant. Who are these people and why won’t they stop?

I have told them over and over again and yet the calls don’t stop. It’s absurd! They are extremely disruptive to my daily work and I don’t know how to get them to stop.

Now is it legal to harrass a company for a debt incurred by someone who happened to have the same phone number 8 years ago? NO, but they are getting away with it… I’m calling BBB and the phone company to see if I can have them blocked.

I said I did not recall having a credit card with that store and do not owe them a debt. I also asked him to send me documentation regarding said debt. He said he could not provide me with any documentation…WTF? So, I advised him if he could not produce documentation to show proof of a debt, then our conversation was over and advised him to not contact me again. The letter you send to my family in the USA is a payment amount you ask from me.
I live in the Netherlands and don’t have a creditcard in the USA. So I don’t pay the 63.19 US dollar for ???? I dont know.
Sorry, it was not me or my 80 years old uncle in Cranston.
Please stop sending him mail.
Thank you

NCO is calling me on a 10-year old debt of $270. Way past the SOL here in CA. I have a new phone number that is not on the list that they are calling from — (800) 273-6816. They are robo-calling virtually every day. When we are here and one of us takes the call, they refuse to give us an address where we can send a cease and desist letter. They asked me if I think I am above the law. When I asked for an address, they told me to check my credit report. I told them if they were reporting a non-collectible debt, they were breaking the law. At that point they hung up on me without giving me an address. Yet the robo-calls continue almost daily. I have a lawyer so I’ll get him on the case, but thanks for putting up the website and posting the address. Hopefully my lawyer can get them to stop. Still, I would love to sue them. I have group legal insurance so it wouldn’t cost me a dime. Wish I could record phone calls in CA. Keep fighting the good fight!!! Let’s educate people and put these parasites out of business!!

I did a payment on September 23rd, concerning to Suncom Wireless (Cell phone company from Puerto Rico, now T-Mobile aquired that company) of $345.95. The employee that talked to me was Ari Santiago and the confirmation number that he gave me was 035643. He called me thru the (787)625-0831 and the payment was deducted succesfully from my checking account (I have the statement). But today I received a call again from him, and my question is: Concerning WHAT?
My contact number is (954) 305-7702,
Thanks for your time,

Just received two notices from NCO. The first is a collection notice for $6.99 and the other for $18.95. Both from a web hosting site that I have not used for two years.

Instead of contacting NCO I have decided to let the hosting site do the “dirty” work and right thing. I am contacting them.

Just curious as to whether or not NCO will actually pursue $24.94 worth of “bad” debt.

I received a call from a man identifying himself with NCO. The man informed the call was in regards to a debt collection. I asked him who he thought he was and he told me the name of a man and asked to speak to him. I informed him that I am the only person that uses this number and I know of no one by that name that would have any connection to my number. He asked a few more times (I suppose to to make sure I was being honest with him) about the man he was looking for. Then he reluctantly told me that my number would be removed and I would not receive another call. I sure hope this situation gets resolved and that there are no more calls form NCO. The poor man I spoke to seemed very unhappy and I’m sure he hates his job. I do know, however, that NCO IS a legit collections company. It’s a bunch of people crammed into small offices and trying to make calls on behalf of business that need money that is owed to them. Their job is not an easy one but I feel that doesn’t justify their need to be rude to anyone.

NCO PHONE #800-477-1827 ADDRESS: 507 PRUDENTIAL RD, HORSHAM, PA 19044 TO MAKE PAYMENT TO: PO BOX 4935 TRENTON, NJ 08650-4935 I am the payee for my sister who is on disability for mental health. She brought me a letter she had received from NCO for a bill from a local phone company that hasn’t even been around for YEARS. It offered her 55% off her debt if she paid immediately. She didn’t think it was correct because she hadn’t used the phone co for years++, so she tried to call them to find out what it was about, the female was extremely rude and wouldn’t tell her anything. She got frustrated and hung-up, then about had a panic attack that she had to come up with this money living on her disability. She gave me the letter to try to make payment arrangements, as I was typing the letter I decided to check them out online… Boy am I glad I did!! Thank you to everyone who has posted warnings online. I copied the letter I found here and plan to send it out today. What a waste of our tax dollars to have to pay all the people that have to investigate all of the claims that have to be filed to fight this kind of fraud. Where will it end???

http://www.ncogroup.com
Company Description: Services: Provider of accounts receivable management services.
Sending letters and calling our company about
representing RICOH AMERICA Corporation that sells maintenance agreements for Lanier printing Equipment. Unfortunately,
NCO paperwork is not correct nor sent by certified mail nor do their phone banks state who they are via caller ID. We have faxed them with the court settlement they were order to pay in Pennyslvania and refuse to speak with them via phone.
If your account has been charged off by the original company you owed, your FIKA score is already damaged and if that score is over 60 days old, it is best to work with accounts that you can pay to start to repair you credit. Many companies charge off the debt while your are trying to work for a settlement and then “sell it to NCO” who hopes they can collect something from you due to the legal fact that each state statue of limitations for a legal debt starts again if you give NCO a payment. You must know your states statue concerning the time frame for a dept to cease.
Secondary collection agencies pay little for the balance of the original debt and do have a certain time frame to get a payment from you before they “re-sell” the debt.

The first call was a Sunday (9/14) afternoon
and the caller asked for my husband. I asked who was calling and when caller said “NCO Financial”, I thought it was a sales call. I told caller that my husband had no business with them, caller stated “I assure he does” and I asked for more information. She refused, I hung up. They call daily now, but I don’t answer the phone. All calls are from 866-251-0699. Thanks for all the information, I am mailing a certified letter today!

After she gave bad info to him he called her back and proceeded to yell at her about how she gave him the wrong number! He asked for my work number so that he could call me there and luckily she only knows my emergency number as 911. Keep calling i am keeping track of each one and every violation by law!

They have never called my attorney and continue to call me. I’ve had 32 calls in the last 24 hours from these dopes.
I’ve filed complaints with PA Attorney General and FTC. Next step may be to sue them directly.

I have to add one more thing all of these people that are employees of NCO financial are you serious…I think it’s a safe assumption that none of you have ever gotten more than a high school diploma and if you did I can’t seem to figure out how…In fact I hope the worst upon you then I hope you lose your job, and have a series of unfortunate events pile up on you, and just like most people being collected on have all of those expenses pile up on you…then you’ll see how it feels…All debt collectors are self centered a**holes that think only of themselves and don’t have any compassion for other human beings and that’s why you’ll be going to hell

Reply

126 Steph September 12, 2008 at 4:38 pm

I have to say to all of these people saying pay your debt you obviously have no Idea what you are talking about….I’ve been on both sides of the fence here and I have to say I was a worthless jerk off for collecting. These debt collectors are a bunch of middle aged laid off can’t find a better job people if they had half a brain they’d realize things happen to people and it’s out of their control and that’s why most end up in collections. For example I had a great job paying all my bills just fine, well even with savings it’s never enough, I ended up losing my job, getting into a car wreck one of my closest relatives was in the hospital and my boyfriend came back from over seas and needed medical attention and needed someone to be there. So with that said I’m sure many have it much worse and collectors calling just amplifies the issues at hand. So I have to say that it’s not as easy as just paying your bills so anyone that disagrees I find you very ignorant…and also look at the economy.. my parents are very wealthy yet are somewhat put back because of the prices of pretty much everything skyrocketing. Again on being on both sides here I feel horrible for doing it the very brief time that I did. I feel that there should be more restrictions on collection companies, I may be twenty three years old but a very well educated twenty three year old that from my experience feels that they’re a bunch of ignorant worthless a**holes that need to find a real job and stop kicking people while they’re down. After all their mentality is hey this person didn’t pay their bills so I’ll call them anytime I want and bother the hell out of them…my advice look at the bigger picture moron! let’s see you recover from a situation like a lot of these people are in it’s not easy.

We had been harrassed by NCO for a debt belonging to the person who had our phone number previously. The advice on this website to contact the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office is good. I did this and received a response from the Pa. A. G.’s office that included NCO’s response to a letter sent them by the A.G.’s office. It is interesting to note that NCO never admits to the harrassment, but they do say that further communication will cease. So far, this has proven to be true. The Pa. Attorney General’s office admitted to me that they have had MANY complaints about NCO so they are aware of what they are doing. I also reported them to the Attorney General in my home state of Ohio. I hope this is of help to those of you enduring the hassle that we had for over two years.

I acquired a new cell phone a few months ago. Apparently the number I got with it formerly belonged to someone in debt. I have been getting calls (but no messages) from NCO Financial on a daily basis. Since I am on the national DO NOT CALL list, I submit a complaint online for every call they make. When I called them to ask them to take the number out of their system, they said that they didn’t have it in their system. Apparently one of the qualifications to work for this company is that you must be a very good liar.

I am having problems with NCO… I have faxed them information regarding a bill I have paid last year from another collection company. Now a year later I am getting letters and phone calls from the famous “NCO”. Today I had to listen to a guy who barely spoke english act like I was a moron. I repeatedly told the guy I already paid it and in the mean time my 5 month old baby is crying because it’s 9am she just woke up and wanted to eat.. I’m trying to feed her and he wants me to look online at the bill…or report whatever..I hung up on him because my kid comes first…and not 1 min. later he calls back.. I tell him I am busy, he tells me I can pay the bill right now..I told him no I already paid it once again. He put me on hold again when he came back he called me sir.. I hung up. I’m not going to sit her and listen to a guy argue with me..over and over and then call me sir? It’s not like I have a manly voice even. They need to get a life. I’m surprized no one has called my house again yet. by 9am they will call again I’m sure..ugh! I’m not even sure if I should answer. They have my name and they have my dads ssn? what the fuck!

Remember to also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). You can do this on-line. These NCO people are based in several cities in the US. Horsham, Pennsylvania for one. The people who work for them are rude and misinformed. They don’t care to get the right information either. Just DON”T SEND THEM A DIME. DON’T GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR BANKING ACCOUNT NUMBERS. They will think nothing of screwing you out of money. Send NCO a certified return receipt letter asking them to stop contacting you. They will. If you’re not sure what to do, contact an attorney and use the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) as your guide.

Haha.. its just funny to read some of the comments in this site, i cant help myself but to post my opinion to this whole crap.

1. Stop talking about your rights if you doesnt know your obligation.. A lot of people’s postings here are complaints about somebody calling them… but hey!!! wake up!!! you wouldnt receive such calls if at first place you know how to take good care of your responsibilities.. like your bills!!!!!
Yah we have our rights, but dont you think those people also have their rights to do their job: and that is to talk about your finances, about some debts you use for your own sake, and now your running from it and blaming others from letting you remember your own obligation… I pitty you!!!

2. If it is really a wrong #, come on.. talk to them like a real person, give them the chance to verify things and surely theyll do their job to stop calling you….

I just happened to find this link through a yahoo story. I just wanted to share a bit of info on an experience I had with them about 3 years ago. My husband and I were in tough financial times, and accrued a balance of 1800 dollars with the local gas company. Because we could not afford the place where we were staying (the gas bill was crazy each cold month) we moved into a smaller apartment with our then 2 little babies (they are 3 and 4 now). I was paying what I could and when I could, trying to make good on the debt. Finally, NCO got a hold of it and HARASSED me like you wouldn’t believe it. They made condescending comments about me as a person and as A MOTHER! Implying a few times that if I couldn’t pay my gas bill, I probably wasn’t taking good care of my kids.

Anyways, just wanted to share my story. Luckily, NCO has been a part of my past for a few years now. I pray I never have to deal with them again. Nasty people at that company.

A John Degiacamo keeps calling for my husband for a debt that does not belong to us. He was informed of this mistake and apparently doesn’t care. NCO keeps calling at least 4 times a day.
We do not answer these calls, 866-316-2714, 866-907-4792, 866-584-3895, 886-437-6488,

Someone called me from NCO about one week ago. They never sent me any kind of statement so I couldn’t figure out what it could have been. I tried calling the number back that was given to me. I ended up speaking to 8 different people! First I was hung up on twice not to mention the 2 people I had spoke with were extremely rude and inconsiderate. Then I was transferred 8 times after the last person finally told me that they could not find me in their system. I have never in my life seen a business so unprofessional in my life!

the question is not if SCO FINANCIAL is for real… the question is WHAT ARE THE FEDS WAITING FOR? THE SECOND COMING?
i worked very hard to have excellent credit history. the scam physician didn’t his job. the scam hospital (so called BAPTIST, tell me if you see any resemblance) never even bother to send me A BILL, but sent my “debt” to other SCAM (SPAMMERS) COLLECTORS (SCO WHATEVER) which didn’t even bother to contact me either, but HAD THE POWER TO DESTROY MY CREDIT HISTORY!!!

ARE WE IN PLAIN SCAM/SPAM ERA? how can an organization providing no proof affect somebody’s life and how could i measure the consequential damages they’ve produced me since the end or 2007? HOW MUCH SHOULD THEY PAY FOR THE HUMILIATION IN FRONT OF SOME CHEAP ACCOUNTANTS FROM VOLVO FINANCE/DEALER?

why exactly are we tolerating these INTERNATIONAL OPERATION to also be legal in our Country?

FEDS HELLO????

Reply

159 dan marinescu August 24, 2008 at 8:39 pm

I have no debts, our house income is in six figures and I never missed a bill. My credit score was 800+. Yesterday I purchased a Volvo (and partially financed it). The APR was way higher than normal and I have been humiliated at the dealer. I paid for the car, accepted finance terms, etc.

When I’ve got back home I checked my credit report found out that my score was 691. Why?

A year back 10/2007, I paid an occasional visit to a physician. He recommended more investigations and scheduled an appointment with Baptist Hospital Pensacola. The appointment supposed to take place 4 weeks later. After speaking with my wife, we decided to ask the physician to cancel the appointment and let him know that we are not interested in his services for the future. The physician have accepted and that was it.

What happened. The physician never canceled the appointment. Baptist Hospital billed a $303 for the appointment (which I have not scheduled, which I have canceled by telling the physician the day after that I was not interested) and of course, never been there in person.

Baptist Hospital never sent us a bill. However, they filed the “debt” to a collection agency from a different state (called NCO FINANCIAL). These guys look like collection spammers or something (they advertize “call campaigns). NCO NEVER EVER CONTACTED US but FILED A NEGATIVE EVENT AGAINST MY CREDIT (via TUC). Of course, almost a year later, I found out about the whole thing.

Question: what is your advise about what I should do in order to have that negative removed from my TUC credit report? Can a hospital file a bill to a collector without send me the bill? Can a collection agency affect my credit ratings without even trying to contact me by any means?

The SCAM NCO seams to constantly apply is to charge for “contact the customer, if not found submit to credit bureaus”. From what I’ve learned from the internet, they do not even bother to contact anyone, just file a credit negative event” then charge their clients as the case has been solved. This improves their “productivity” but please tell me, is this legal? Can somebody ruin your credit with a phone call without even TRYING to actually collect anything prior to that?!?

NCO FILING#: 15879359

Believe me, I have all the means to meet their “attorneys” in court.

This post is for everyone here but I especially have a message for the other Angela who posted 8/12/08. I got the same offer for a credit card. It is not an offer. It is an attempt by this lowlife debt collection agency to reactivate a debt that might be too old to collect on. Warren & Vullings is filing a class action on my behalf. 215-745-9800. Please call them. Add yourself to it. Make money off of them instead of them making money off of you.

FOR EVERYONE ELSE PLEASE READ:

I went to http://www.fairdebtlawyers.com and submitted an online complaint about NCO. Guess what?! They filed suit on my behalf for free and collected statutory damages for me from NCO for violations of the FDCPA. The above site is for a legitimate lawfirm in Philadelphia PA and they are amazing. They go after NCO every day and win. Just thought I’d pass on the info. The name of the lawfirm is Warren & Vullings and their phone number is 215-745-9800. Call them. You won’t regret it. There are alot of things these collection agencies do that are against the law and most people don’t even realize they are being violated.

For John Brown: I’m not going to get into a pissing patch with you. My comments stem from my own experience. However, I don’t think that these people have absolutely nothing to do except find a site like this one to complain about a company they have no first hand knowledge about. And as far as stereotyping people, if the comments made by the NCO representatives to the third party people and to myself are not stereotypical, I don’t know what is. The bottom line is nobody wants to own any money. These people have called me names, told me to borrow money from other people and yes, even use a credit card for a cash advance. That’s how they help? They harass us and everybody around us, getting the names wrong, threatening us with arrest, insinuating all sorts of things. I tried not to have an adversarial relationship with them. Unfortunately, they chose to make it very difficult for me. So I reported them, along with the hundreds and hundreds of people who are, according to you, making all this up. Believe me, I have better things to do. And besides, I’m NOT the client. They don’t have to satisfy ME. Don’t you get it???

FOR RT: It’s just that its not right to stereotype! How would you know that this NCO office is the same as the others? Aside from the fact that this site has only less than 1000 negative comments. Imagine how big our country is! NCO handles millions of accounts so in short there are more satisfied client than those client like you who finds NCO as a blood sucker. Its you’re credit score who benifits most not theirs! OK? so try to be open-minded! Do you have a proof that all comments that has posted here is nothing but the truth?

We got behind on our AMEX bill, card cancelled. We’ve since arranged with AMEX to send them payments directly in Dallas, TX, to clear our account telling them we’ve read about NCO and don’t trust NCO. AMEX said yes, send us payments, even though our phone system says for your account to work directly with NCO. Explained this to Carol Randall-Meyer or Meyer-Randall (she talks so fast we can’t understand her name, and then she refuses to tell it to us what her name is again, or (this is really funny-her voice starts shaking when I tell her to “very slowly” spell it out for me). And check this out> My wife and I had discussed working with Carol ($), then (!-then!) Carol called my wife when I was at work and screamed at my wife, telling her “I’m tired of this. You keep telling me to talk to your husband!”. Sorry Carol, my wife’s Philippine and doesn’t understand a high blood pressured stranger screaming at her on the phone- but does find it quiet entertaining!-he he. Course a wordly person like yourself, Carol, who can only set on a phone all day and lie and deceive people..well anyway. I almost married a lady in Dallas who’s a successful collector, so I know the system as I explained to you. And check this out, everybody, we’ve explained to Carol we live on a military base, where ALL phone calls are recorded, and where I can request phone records at any time. Well, NCO and Carol, now, keep calling, because *it is only helping us now build our case/suit against you :-0 We look forward to your next phone call. And Carol, you had $ coming your way, till you lost your manners-don’t forget, you hung up on me when you called my work number also (and it’s recorded :-). Anyway, please call us again now, soon as possible, we’re looking forward to it :-) And so is the Pennsylvania Attorney General :-O
** Folks who read this, don’t be afraid to tell those you owe, who’ve hired NCO (ie, sold debt to them) that you don’t trust NCO and want to settle directly with them. Send them $5/month or whatever, they’ll take it vs giving a bunch of bill collectors a fee.

as i walked in the door tonight the phone was ringing, and without looking at caller ID i answered it, and got an automatic recording, with a phone number and a case number.

800-379-5290 #ez1156

so i called and waited and waited…40 minutes. Nothing

So I looked them up and called the main number on their website

800 550 9619

no record of me or any debt in my name, they were looking for some gloria something. They asked for my name and i read them the riot act.

“we have had this number for over 2 years, do not ever call us again. If you do, we will file immediately with lisa madigan, the attorney general of illinois, who by the way will be running for governor and would love to bust your chops for fun. do you have any questions?”

No sir

For everyone who reads this, they are combing the multitude of databases that are available for free or for a fee. There are millions of bits of information floating around about you from credit card companies, telephone companies, electric companies, drivers license and voting records, wills and deeds, lottery, school enrollment, car dealers, credit reporting companies, airlines, the list is endless. In fact, some companies like magazines make more money from selling your information than they do selling you the magazine.

Basically, everything you do these days leaves some sort of footprint, unless you dont give any identifiable information and pay with cash.

Im sure scum like NCO buy that shi* in bulk. Peoplesearch just sells it over and over and over, like bags of candy.

I’m finally out of debt, and my heart goes out to every single person who has to wrestle with these bastards.

God be with you

I got a call today from Sylvia (888-666-8866) about my account. I do have debt with NCO and I have been paying it off for years. The problem is that I don’t always get the payment reminders/statements they send. A couple years ago I sent in a payment without having received a statement and NCO never got the check.

So, back to Sylvia… I told her that I had not gotten a statement and she responded with “OK, so I’ll put down that you’re refusing to pay. Your account will be turned over to the wage garnishment department and you should get a lawyer.” I tried again to explain that I needed a statement to pay my bill and verify my balance. I also repeatedly asked to talk to a supervisor, but Sylvia informed me that there was no one else to talk to. She just kept telling me to get a lawyer. Then she said something about wanting to check if I had credit cards in collection and hung up on me.

I called back and finally talked to the manager (and Sylvia’s supervisor), Mary Tankoua, and she was very helpful. I made a payment over the phone, and she removed the wage garnishment transfer request from my account. She also told me that she would listen to the tape of the earlier call. I don’t know what will come of this, but I just hope I keep getting statements. I mean, I’m not sending money to some company without seeing that my balance is going down!

For John Brown: You are obviously an employee of those blood sucking vampires. They do indeed break the law and they do it regularly. They DID disclose information about me to a third party – several times. When I asked the representative to spell his last name for me, the little twerp hung up on me. They are rude and have raised animosity to an art form. Don’t kid yourselves folks, if NCO is indeed breaking the Federal Debt Collection act (you can get a copy on line – KNOW YOUR RIGHTS) REPORT THEM TO THE FTC AND THE PA ATTORNEY GENERAL’S OFFICE.

Giving us a telephone number does not verify truthfullness. AND based on MY experience and the hundreds here,, you are wrong.

Reply

183 john brown August 11, 2008 at 10:05 am

NCO is not allowed to disclose any information to a third party so you are recieving a call back number with no particular name or debt so that any person in the house can call them back to verify some information on a specific person and account. You may accept or dispute the debt coz sometimes they just get bad numbers like people with same name but different socials and birthdate so upon confirming that you’re not the one they looking you’re number will be deleted in their list!

Bear in mind that NCO has different offices world-wide so call this number 866-4420536 and you will know that they do not violate any federal or state law! BASED ON EXPERIENCE!

We have been recieving calls NONSTOP for 2 months now. I answer the phone and get nothing on the other end. Now I worked for a very nice collection agency under a government contract. Now the law states, if they call more than 3-4 tims a day, with considerable time inbetween they are following the law. If they are calling repeatly morning, noon, and night then it is harassment. THey are only aloud to call up to 9pm, we have have them call after 9pm. The only acception to these laws, is if it is a Bank calling. They have different laws, and complaints have to be filled in a different manner. I do plan on staying on the phone as long as possible next and try to talk to someone. I am glad that i found this blog, and to hear I am not the only one recieving these annoying, harassing phone calls.

I have just found out that NCO bought my debt from American Express. They are demanding a payment that I can not afford and are refusing to except any payment that is less than the amount demand. I have even enrolled in CCA (Consumer Creidt Services) to try and get a ower payment and they also have refused to acept a payment from them. American Express had increased my interest to 29.7 which is a default rate and has been adding approx. $695 a money to my balance. This rate has added approx. 5000 to my balance along with the late fees. I have cashed in IRA’s and paid tax returns to this debt and still can not make a dent due to the high interst and the fact that no one willl work with me. I just want to know where these people get off by sinking me futhure in debt and not letting me make payments? I spent all morning on the phone with the company and just got sent from person to person with no answers. When i finally had enough and said I want answers and I want them now and that I was going to record the call so no errors were made, they hung up on me. Like many soldiers, he visited the Army & Airforce Exchange Services (PX) to buy supplies, etc. He used his debit card to purchase goods. He returned home and discharged from the Marines. Recently (July 08) 4 yrs since he left Iraq, he received a call from NCO Financial Services stating that the transactions in Iraq never processed and he owes more than $1,000 dollars + interest accrued within these three years. Of course we are not going to pay, but we are extremely disgusted that they would target our soldiers, who served this country. If other soldiers are receiving the same accusations, please e-mail me at mhorton79@juno.com. Our congress needs to know veterans are being targeted. Together we can stop NCO. Thank you!

I called and spke to a manger and we had a heated talk. He told me he had a right to the money and he was going to keep doing it untill the debt got paid. he refused to let me talk to the accounts department of give me the number. I told him I would just do a stop payment on the check and he told me he has othr ways of getting my money, in a threating tone. Then he told me I had 24-48 hours to take care of the debt, but he would not tell me what would happen. Who grows up in life and says hey I want to be a debt collector. I made a formal complaint with the FTC and I hope something is done these people need to be stopped.

Our daughter passed away 3 years ago due to complications from surgery. Her vehicle was subsequently reposessed and her daughter and son paid the balance between the value of the car and what was owed. They have misplaced their receipt for that, and this debt has subsequently been turned over to NCO. They keep calling because my name was given as a reference at the time of purchase, but I was not on the loan. They call constantly and I have explained the situation to them. They are very rude and I have subsequently been screening my calls and don’t answer if I don’t know the number. It’s hard enough to lose a child and to keep getting harrassed by these people makes it even tougher.

See my message dated July 19. A followup. Sending a certified mail, return receipt requested letter to NCO for them to STOP calling me worked. I also filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and the the Pennsylvania Attorney Generals Office. These can be done on-line and you do get an acknowledgement back. Remember that these measures only slow them down. If you have a real debt, retain legal counsel for help. I have. Don’t wait folks. File your complaints against this company. These blood sucking pigs do not want to make it easy. Make sure you get the names of the people you are talking to. You can mention them when you file your complaint. Good luck to all

I just finished getting off the phone with these people for the first time. #704-523-8444 and they are pretending to be located in North Carolina. I asked where they were from and that is what they said. When I told them I was aware of the debt they were speaking of and theat I could only afford $150 monthly to take care of it they told me to seek out a family member to borrow it from or that their client would be taking me to the Superior Court of NJ and the cost of my original debt would be doubled. If I didn’t read this I would really be afraid and bullied. Thanks you everyone for your advise and postings. I will be filing a claim with the BBB and PA immediately!

I am receiving a letter about once a year and had gotten two as a time before for last few years and I have no clue whatsoever what it for and one year I just mailed the whole letter back with question mark across it but no phone call like your guys are.

I received 4 unknown calls in the past 1 week with a return number 1-800-477-1827.

A quick google search of this number returned NCO as the trouble maker. And, a subsequent search for NCO landed me in this site. It seems that these guys are changing numbers often to escape legal retribution.

Their latest number is 1800-477-1827.
